You gain only after giving something up. Learning to let go is how you make room to gain.
Nearly two and a half years of my four years at university have passed in the blink of an eye. Looking closely, I really have played with quite a lot during those two and a half years: nunchaku, photography, post-production, graphic design, BMX, building websites, programming—and I also want to try model aircraft. There are many categories and a lot of ground covered, but is there anything I can truly master? I may know a little more than the classmates around me, yet the more I learn, the less I realize I know; the more experts I meet, the more shortcomings I see in myself.
University is an excellent time in life for learning, and I must cherish it. It’s time for me to trust myself and focus deeply on one or two things, putting most of my energy there. That’s how I can become better, right?
I should start working harder on my major courses.
